The new SOFTCASE CE12 Lightweight is entirely mechanical, instead of electronic. The electrical components are in the power head, with none in the bag housing or handle, thereby minimizing electrical connectors and further improving reliability. This also means that the on/off switch is located on the power head, so the user’s foot can easily activate it. The filter bag housing of the SEBO SOFTCASE CE12 is made from a soft textile material with a two-way zipper. This durable material is shockproof, lightweight and won’t scratch walls and furniture. The impeller sucks in the dirt picked up by the rotating brush and transports it through the air channel into the removable filter bag. A simple and effective system, which generates an astonishing volume flow of 7.13 gallons per second despite the relatively low rated power of 400 watts!

The Softcase CE12 is one of the best cleaning uprights on the market, making it a bonus that it is lightweight at 12 pounds without it’s cord and only runs uses 400 watts of power. It does this using it’s unique belt-driven system that uses step-up gearing to run the fan at an incredible 17000 rpm. While it does not have tools onboard, it pairs well with a compact canister for tool jobs like the Airbelt K2 Kombi.This works great in homes with a large amount of carpet or area rugs with heavy pet hair and traffic.
